Overcomer by Nicole De Coteau

What does it mean to be an overcomer?

Lets look at some definitions below.

A person who overcomes something , one who succeeds in dealing with or gaining control of some problem or difficulty. To get the better of in a struggle or conflict; conquer; defeat: to overcome the enemy. To prevail over opposition, a debility, temptations, surmount : to overcome one's weaknesses.

This is a year that we all have had to overcome something in our lives. Whether, fear, doubt, insecurity, you name it we have all dealt with something, and I firmly believe in my heart, God wants his children to overcome in every area of their lives. As I mentioned in one of my YouTube videos, God is especially zeroing on his daughters. The Father desires that we break free from everything that has held us bound. Like Queen Esther in the bible, I strongly believe God is raising the Esther's of this generation that will live their lives for the cause of the kingdom, saying if I perish, I perish, but this I must do. But before we can get to that place, God wants to break some mindsets, heal us from emotional wounds, traumas and sever every generational curse that has caused us to become bound.

What make us OVERCOME?

According to 1John 5:4 For everyone born of God overcomes the world, this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. We overcome the world because Jesus has overcome, according to John 16:33. When Jesus walked the earth, he was a man who felt all the things that we deal with as humans today. Jesus was lied to, rejected, wrongfully accused, he experienced stress on the highest level, which caused his tears to turn to blood, he even asked the Father if it is possible to let this cup be passed from me. Jesus knew and understands all that we face today because he first experienced it and wanted to give up just like many of us do. I want to remind you today to push forward, don't give up, don't allow yourself to buckle. Jesus died and he rose again on the third day he went into hell and took the keys to death hell and the grave. Jesus was then ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father interceding for us day and night that we also may overcome. So no matter what you face for the rest of this year, I want you to set your eyes on Jesus, If you don't have a relationship with him or maybe you fell off somewhere along your journey this year, know that it's not too late to get in that place, put your trust in him he will be there to strengthen you and carry you through.
